HOW TO CHANGE YOUR WEBSITE THEME

Before you decide to change your website theme, you have to know what it is and what it does to your website. Your website theme is what decides how your website should look and feel like. Educational websites have a typical style, as do professional or informational sites. A holiday site will have a brighter or cheerful theme. With the right customisation, your website will look and feel exactly as you want it to. Any customisation you make to your website is applied to the theme. therefore, if you change your theme you will lose the customisations such as code snippets, tracking codes, etc. that you have added through the customizer. Fortunately, this can be prevented by using the Customiser Export/Import plugin in the Authoract plugins section.

When you have exported your customisations and are ready to change your theme, navigate to APPEARANCE on your admin menu and select THEMES from the drop down.

Select themes under appearance

At the themes section, you have the option to Live Preview the theme if you want before activating it. This will let you customise your site with the new theme and if you’re satisfied, just click on Activate. Alternatively, you can use the native Themer in Authoract to fir your site’s theme to your vision without changing the theme. The Themer comes with a wide variety of styling options.
